About the Twinning

The Tenbury French Twinning Association aims to encourage cultural exchange, understanding and friendship between Tenbury Wells and Pont-du-Casse .

Currently, exchanges are held every other year, and are due to recommence with the Cassipontins visiting Tenbury in summer 2022.

Tenbury’s last visit to Pont-du-Casse was in summer 2019.

Exchanges usually take place over a long weekend, though this has tended move around the calendar over the years.

Guests stay in the homes of families in the host town, ideally similar in age, family make-up and interests.

A typical exchange will include an official reception, group dinners, usually with some local entertainment, visits to local places of interest, and time with one’s host family.

Between visits, Tenbury French Twinning Association organises a programme of social events to raise money for the next visit (the costs of visits are borne by the host town, apart from the visitors’ travel each way), and to let group members get to know each other better.
